Wow. Uglydolls are still gaining momentum. I've seen life size versions walking around the NYC comic con and now here they are taking the GR coverspot. Issue 42 sits down with the creators of the Uglydoll phenomenon to unravel the story, beginning to now. Other highlights show what's new with art in Manila, how to start your own boy band (which I know most of you will never consider, but check out these asian dudes trying, shit is crazy), Japanese heavy metal gods and rastafarians, beautiful art from Seung-Ho Yoo in Korea, Asian horror movies, and upcoming bay area indie band Scrabbel. Definitely some refreshing content for all you heads out there. Nice to see Scrabbel blowing up too. I performed with these guys back in Cali and was blown away by their use of busted drum machines, beat up organs, speak and spells, violins, cello, and song writing. Dan and Aya, I see you!
