Odyssey's LStand is a laptop stand similar to the HiRise stand by Serato. The LStand is designed to elevate your laptop over your DJ setup, eliminating the "where do I put my laptop while I DJ" problem. In addition the height-adjustable, elevated angle gives you easier access to your laptop controls.

The LStand works as a stand-alone component as well as an extension for a dj coffin or table. Remove the two bottom supports and replace them with the included clamps, and the LStand will attach onto any surface up to 2 1/8" thick. The clamps can angled in 2 different directions, allowing you to attach it both to a flat table or the vertical side of a DJ coffin. When not in use, the LStand conveniently folds flat into the box that it comes in.

There are several differences with the LStand and the HiRise stands. First, as mentioned, the HiRise can be used in several different situations, while the HiRise only works as a stand-alone component. Secondly, the LStand is much heavier than the HiRise (5.5 vs 1.5 lbs in the box). Depending on your situation, this can work for or against you. The extra weight will provide a sturdier surface, but at the expense of 4 traveling pounds. In addition, boxes to both models serve as the carrying case. The HiRise case is made of a sturdy lightweight plastic. The LStand comes in a cardboard case which will not stand up to frequent travel. Lastly, the LStand comes in at a more inexpensive price.
