Diplo and Signify would appreciate this book. The main title here will suffice to give you an idea of what this is all about (ignore the "search of the lost record" part), a detailed survey of the finest and strangest British album cover art from the 1950s to the 80s, with a heavy preference for the 1970's. Of course, spotlighting the most interesting album cover art of these time periods also overlaps with some of the most collectable psyche records; and this book doesn't miss a chance to show them off. Matsui Takumi divides it into logical sections based on the influence and art of the cover, so we have groupings like Fantasy, Psychedelic, Nonsense and Humor, Modernism, Illustration, Lettering, Nude, Exoticism and Racism and others. A great resource on a seldom reasearched genre, for both the designer and music collector. 160 pages.
