Kitsune's compilation game has been strong from the very beginning, but they've really outdone themselves on this one. Volume 2 in the Kitsune Maison series collects some of the label's finest singles of the past few months, as well as forthcoming releases from 2006. The big as-yet-unreleased tune here is Simian Mobile Disco's "Hustler(1)," with lyrics we can't fully endorse (about stealing shit from a record store) but a ridiculously hot echoing house beat that we can. Also hot is Todd Terje's remix of Fox n' Wolf's "Claws vs. Knives(2)" and the newly released Adam Sky single "Ape-X(3)."Of course, there's nothing bad about getting a few of our best-selling Kitsune singles in clean digital format, either - like Joakim's "I Wish You Were Gone(4)" or Boys Noize's reworking of Bloc Party's "Banquet(5)." 13 tracks total, clocking in at over 76 minutes. Recommended.
