Another essential canon in the Spinbad mixtape catalog. Spinbad is hands-down the ultimate wizard of blend mixtapes. With his 80s mixes he created the foundation for the mash-up scene; with Cold Cutz Classics, he created the standard for hip-hop blends, and with Needle On The Groove (circa mid-nineties), he created the best RnB and soul blends tape ever. Just imagine what Spinbad could do with a tracklist featuring Sade, Portishead, Soul II Soul, Groove Theory, Charles Wright, Marvin Gaye, JB, MJ, D'Angelo, and more? This was originally a Japan cassette exclusive, but it was powerful, that it made its way stateside over the years. This is actually the first time the entire mix has been available on CD (the previous copies were single disc versions that cut off part of the mix). Highly recommended.
