DJ Tap.10 Trackademicks: The [Re]Mixtape Vol.1 CD
|
the lab review
Underground bay area beat genius Trackademicks first flew accross my radar at WMC in 2005, when he handed me a CD outside Urban Outfitters (where MIA and Diplo were performing for free in front of some bras and 30 perplexed kids.. ah memories...). It's rare enough to get a demo disc thats more than a drink coaster, rarer still to discover all manner of futuristic R&B cuts and hyphy-meets-broken beat remixes of guys like Keak Da Sneak stuffed inside. This [Re]Mixtape collects many of Track's amazing early remakes alongside like-minded original songs, all of which sound as fresh today as they did a few years back. A perfect compliment to Trackademicks' debut solo single on Fool's Gold, lets see what the next four years have in store...
