There are so many good things to say about this mixtape, I don't even know where to start. But I'll try this: DJ's Goon & Koyote are two of the baddest motherfucking DJs you've heard in years, and Diamond Grills is the finest specimen of a ghettotech/Detroit mix that I've ever come across. The kicker: they're French! But any nationalistic bias you may have will pretty much evaporate after you listen to the first 10 minutes of this mix. Except that you don't really listen to this mix -- it just plows into you, and you can either dance along or sit there slack-jawed and let it happen to you. The BPMs don't drop down for the entirety of the mix, and neither does the energy, and the mix is better for it. I tried to count all the "contributing artists" they list on the back, but when it got above 100, I quit. 70+ minutes of music here, shrinkwrapped and packaged with an actual silver CD. Totally crazy and totally recommended.
