Lab Overview

Housed up Ethiopian funk! Originally released in 1984 as part of their Sons Of Ethiopia album, Admas' "Kalatashew Waga" brings a little boogie heat where you would least expect it. The record itself is a pretty hard to find piece of wax, but you've probably heard this as sampled by Beautiful Swimmers on their track "Horizon." Andras Fox's remix goes in a completely different direction, homing in on the bass line and going for broke. It's like the smooth house cousin of the Swimmer's boogie groove. The original track has been restored and mastered by Thomas P Heckmann. Limited edition hand stamped 12".
