Volume 2 digs a little deeper, focusing on his remixes, but still maintaining the same high quality selection of ... expand review the first (but you really can't go wrong with anything Dilla touched). Dope joints all throughout including the Jay Dee remix for Fourtet's "As Serious As Your Life(1)" (a personal fave of mine), Slum Village's "Fall In Love(2)," Busta's "Whoo Ha(3)," Spacek's "Eve(4)," De La's "Stakes Is High(5)," and the beautifully soulful "Oblighetto(6)" by Brother Jack McDuff. Dump the a-side - "You're a Hustler(1)" is one of those throwaway Nas songs that haters play for the faithful and then gleefully cackle about how bad it is. So flip straight to the B for the far superior cut "Welcome to ... expand review New York(2)." This is a straight keeper with its chaotic beats (classic grunts up in there, is this a Remi production) and Nas rhyming off the handle with another vivid portrait of NY life, a topic that he rarely seems to lack inspiration for. -O-Dub

Armed with his record collection, rhyme books, and newly acquired turntables the Boston born Paten Locke hit the strets of Jacksonville and quickly made a name for himself. "The Triple Threat," also known as "Therapy" became one of the most sought out artist in the area, known widely for his production, rhyming and djing skills. He later formed the group Asamov and eventually ended up producing on Mr. Lif and Akrobatik's albums. Here he finally has dropped a solo effort showcasing his production AND rhyme skills.
