Andy Meecham is back with his third full length album as Emperor Machine on DC Recordings. The Chicken Lips/ex-Bizzare Inc. man from Staffordshire comes well versed in the ways of vintage analog synths and spaced-out disco beats (this is his 3rd album after all). This time around he even adds vocals to his usually instrumental pieces, as heard on the album opener "Space Age Pop(1)" and the poppy disco rock of "What You Want(2)." As expected, he delivers like a champ when it comes to cosmic moods and vibes (which are consistent throughout the whole album). Check Lana Laina(2) for some seriously chugging italo synth work, "Snatch Shot(4)" for some funky arpeggiator styles, and "Swiss Machine(5)," "Wet Seven(6)," and "Silver Cape(7)" for dope synth laced beats. Also check "The Frontist (8)" for TOUGH synth breaks a la Rush's "Tom Sawyer." Awesome. 10 tracks over 2 LPs with sweet cover art by La Bodega. Also includes a download card for FREE download of the album.
