The Sixty-One is a plug-and-play package supporting two-deck digital vinyl simulation, software effects and all the record and playback channels you need.
The Sixty-One easily connects up to four turntables or CD players, with an additional Aux input for samplers, instruments or session input, and four more USB playback channels. MIDI controllers can be added with their functions mapped to Scratch Live. All controls on the Sixty-One are MIDI-mappable to software applications that support mapping.
The Sixty-One Mixer supports both analog and Digital Vinyl Simulation (DVS) playback. The mixer is bundled with Serato Scratch Live and includes ASIO and Core Audio drivers to use other audio programs. Two Serato Control Vinyl Records and two Serato Control CDs are included.

What makes this turntable different? First and foremost, the TT200 has a powerful direct drive motor. The torque (1.7 kg/cm) is actually stronger than the 1200(!). Second, the construction resembles the durable design of higher priced models: steel top, rubberized bottom, and aluminum platter. The TT200 weighs almost as much as a 1200, and you can feel it when you use it.
The all aluminum, straight arm tonearm is the best offered at this price range. It performs with excellent tracking, and higher durability than its plastic counterparts. The pitch control has a wide range of +/-10 (1200s have +/-8), and appears to be accurate. The pitch control response does not appear to be as quick as the 1200, but it is a small detail, that is easily adapted to.
OUR OPINION
Hands down, in the under $350 range, this is the best turntable we've tested. At this price, the TTX stands alone in terms of price and functionality. It is not a high-end turntable, but it captures several key functions of those higher priced turntables (torque, tonearm, several construction features). If you are a beginner, intermediate, or DJ on a budget, this is definitely a solid choice at an incredible price. We give a high recommendation in terms off price and performance.
What's the difference between this and higher priced turntables? In percentage terms, whereas most budget turntables compete with high end turntables at about 30-50%, the TT200 is closer to 75%. Although the construction is much better than its counterparts, the overall grade of the parts is not as high as the 1200. It still has a plastic feel. Although its torque is higher than the 1200, the motor on the 1200 feels stronger (dues to combination of platter weight and body stability). The TT200 is a very functional turntable, but it doesn't quite feel like a finely tuned piece of equipment. When buying equipment, we always say you get what you pay for. Ifetayo is the only album ever released by Black Truth Rhythm Band, a super rare and sought-after piece originally released in 1976. The group was led by Oluko Imo (who would ... expand review would eventually play in Fela's Africa 80 band) and are rooted in super heavy afro vibes. Just check the shakin' funk grooves of "Umbala(1)," "Ifetayo(2)," the tropical flavor of "Aspire(3)," or the deep rhythms of "You People(4)" and "Kilamanjaro(5)" for a taste. All the info you need on this one is right in the title: hand-picked by those crafty Soundway folks (who did that cool Panama comp last year), this import-only 2LP features 17 gems from the vaults of Colombia's largest and longest-running record ... expand review label, Discos Fuentes. Just like the label, this comp contains a wide variety of Latin styles (cumbia, salsa, calypso, gaita, etc.), but there are outside influences popping up all over - just check the psychedelic harmonies on Frunk y Sus Tesos' "Improvisando(1)." Los Corraleros de Majagual's 10+ minute descarga take on "El Mondongo(2)" is pretty spicy, but nothing here begs to be chopped by a DJ like Pedro Laza's horn-heavy "La Picua(3)." Also check Michi Sarmiento's "Hong Kong(4)" and the wild cumbia of "La Piojosa(5)" - "The Flea-Bitten Woman."
