the patented lab review lab informed suggestions
Good ol' Environ and their never-ending supply of disco-tech-funk jams! Where do they find these guys? Baby Oliver comes strong with his debut release on the most important label for this sound. Morgan Geist has an ear for this stuff, and thank god he keeps putting out vinyl on his label. Straight up soul with these two tracks. "Primetime" is a slow jerker with some sick, whispered vocals and smooth as hell synth work, while "Hypochondriac" is far more dancefloor worthy. Both of these cuts are ridiculously sick - highly worth the purchase. While it's hard to top the workings of Metro Area, this guy is coming damn close in both style and quality.
