the patented lab review lab informed suggestions
Sound In Color squeezed a mini-album out of all the stuff that's been catching buzz on SIC CDR, maybe a last hurrah before Sa-Ra fully switch over to Kanye's label (now, they're on Babygrande). People have been charting the Jay Dee collabo "Thrilla" for a couple months now, while the Pharoahe Monch track "Fish Fillet" is better than advertised. The title track gets first billing, and again shows off Sa-Ra's unique formula for neck snappage. You also get instrumentals for the aforementioned tracks, plus the acapella for "Second Time Around." I like the less polished, real off-kilter stuff that sounds like they pulled it out of the ass of their MPC.
