Bastard Jazz compilation of beats born out of Brooklyn, New York. Although we've had many of these tracks on scattered, small press 12"s, it's cool to see them amalgamated under one banner. Similarly, even though there are hundreds of people in NYC that are doing similar to what you do, it's rare to see it come together like this. Tracks from Menahan Street Band, Uniao Black, Nickodemus, Midnight Lab Band, Akoya Afrobeat, Chimp Beams, DJ Drm (with Chico Mann remix), Sharon Jones, Apenaut, Subatomic Sound System, Captain Planet, and Pimps of Joytime. 12 tracks in all.
