This is the second label compilation from Ghostly is a massive (and highly impressive) collection of ambient, IDM, avant pop, new disco, and electronica. For an American label, Ghostly has proven themselves to be at the forefront of electronic music - and proof is in this comp (which was actually released in '06). Check the incredible range of styles - from the future hip-hop beats of Dabrye, the eclectic electronic sounds of Matthew Dear, the influential new disco sounds of Daniel Wang, the acoustic, shoe-gazey vibe of Grey Davis, atmospheric dubstep from Cepia, the fast tempo, new rock of Skeletons and The Girl (kind of reminds me of Radiohead), the funky dance hype of Dyke House, and an ample dose of ambient and IDM from a gang of artists on Ghostly. Lots of stuff to really soak in here.
