Not sure what's happenning to Om lately, but they are KILLING it with their house releases!!! This one here made the rounds at every party at the Winter Music Conference this year. Digable Planet's Ladybug Mecca gets proper remixes by a slew of house music's biggest names. I thought I was over the whole hip house thing until this single dropped. The hot one on here that everyone was playing in Miami was Jason Hodges' mix, full of swingy beats, and that infectious melody - DJ Sneak's been caning this one for months. Next up, Johnny Fiasco's mix is on the electro tip, with a darker and more edgy vibe. On the flip, Fred Everything's mix is oh so Fred. Deeeep yet seriously grooving at the same time, this one comes in second place with me. Last up, Joey Youngman delivers another jackin house jam. Props to Om for this one!! Youngman returns with a SICK hiphop beat similar to SA-RA and old Dilla, as does "Hawley's Hip Hop Mix." The digital only extra's are worth it here!
