Rong's catalog never ceases to impress me with its varied styles of music. This release draws inspiration from 80s electro funk, sounding like an unknown new wave outfit that grew up in Detroit and worked with a really coked-up Roger Troutman. "You Got" and "Can't Let Go" could have easily been in a club scene from some John Hughes movie, it's convincingly 80s. If you want the hard stuff that you only find on b-sides, check the two ridiculously hard parts of "Blast From The Past" ... secret weapon type tracks.
