Mudd is one of those rare entity's that can blend dance vibes with very musical, jazz sensibilities. You'll find this is really evident on "Advt. In Bricketwood" which starts off with some almost spiritual jazz elements, but then introduces a tough electro-disco beat (which I'm pretty sure is sampled from a rare Russell Brothers 12") to create a whole new kind of monster. It's kinda like surfing the line between downtempo and dancey shit. Also check the Layne Fox Remix goes straight for the dub disco vibe, complete with sweet squiggle synth, funked out keys and mucho echo delays, and the wicked Ray Mang Remix that opts for some interesting percussion arrangements and mean low end sub bass.
