Digi release of Blue River, the only CD in the entire Claremont 56 catalog. It compiles all their singles so far, plus bonus tracks only available on the CD. Smith & Mudd consistently kill the "downtempo disco" sound with such ease and harmony, I can't really think of anyone else on the level. Sorcerer or Windsurf maybe? Anyways, if you're feeling stressed out, this'll is the closest you'll come to a tropical vacation without leaving your seat. Check the smooth folky guitar work on "Shulme," the funky balearic bass on "The Start," the slow burning bump of "Blue River," and the "Shulme - Lexx Remix," and the the soothing sounds of "Elsewhere," "Vegetable Square" and "The Secret." Beautiful instrumentation that's perfect for easy mornings, evening cool-downs, and midnight rendezvous.
