In The Light and its companion dub LP were originally reissued by Blood and Fire in 95 and went on to be one of their most acclaimed releases to date. The reason is clear: this is a stunning set of Horace Andy tunes, nearly impossible to find in the original, accompanied by Prince Jammy's explosive dub versions (even more rare) on the second LP. The two albums are actually quite different in feel with the vocal version riding high on Horace's heavenly vocals and the dub just smashing it all to bits with dreadful insistence. Just check out the first cut "Do You Love My Music" and "Music Dub." Both amazing in their own rights. Very difficult to select tracks off this, but check out the incredible title track "In The Light," "If I," "Government Land" and "Problems Dub." Nothing short of a masterpiece on both ends.
