OVERVIEW
Numark's impressive X2 hybrid combines a high-end turntable with a slot loading CD player with MP3 capability. This full featured turntable allows you to play both CD's and vinyl (at the same time!) as well as the ability to control your CD's with the Numark spindle and vinyl interlock record.
FEATURES - TURNTABLE SPECIFIC
Turntablists and mix dj's alike can benefit from the wide range of features available to the X2. It features a direct drive motor with the highest torque available to date (4.5 kg-cm), the pitch control ranges from +/-6, 12, 25 and 100% (+/-80% for vinyl and +/-50% for MP3) for ultimate flexibility, 33 or 45 option with adjustable skate and brake speeds, forward and reverse toggle, 3 stereo outputs including dedicated phono, dedicated CD and switched CD/turntable output, and detachable power and audio connections. In addition, the full size 12" aluminum platter features spindle locking which can be used with the vinyl interlock record for controlling the CD/MP3 player.

The X2's sleek slot loading CD player features full MP3 capability, including anti-shock, scratching, looping and pitch control functions, as well key lock at any tempo up to +/- 100% for changing the tempo without changing the pitch. The CD player also features seamless looping, 2 hot stutter starts, built-in Beatkeeper for automatic CD beat calculation, 3,000 cue point memory, anti-shock buffer technology, and sleep mode.
OUR OPINION
The X2 hybrid turntable is an excellent choice for DJs that want to play vinyl and CDs or MP3s without having to purchase both a CD-J and a pro turntable. Both the turntable and CD player offer top notch features that would be impressive on their own, let alone combined - plus the ability to play both at the same time just adds to the massive versatility of this turntable.
