"Get Fresh" is the latest single from Kid Sister, an electro rap gem that manages to put a fresh twist on stunting thanks to Kid Sis' catchy hooks and infinite lyrical charm - who else could shout out Louboutins and Domino's Pizza in the same verse and make both sound equally fly? The track's clever, thumping production comes courtesy of A-Trak and XXXChange, who team up to flip ZZT's indie techno hit "Lower State Of Consciousness" into a hip-hop tempo banger everyone can enjoy.
This new release, exclusively on vinyl and Beatport digital, is meant as a treat for all the DJs around the world who were Kid Sister's earliest supporters. It comes backed with brand new "Get Fresh" remixes from two undeniable dance music heavy hitters: Zombie Nation (who, as half of ZZT, was responsible for the track's original sample) turns the track into a glitchy late-night monster, while Alex Gopher stomps it out with big-room drums and an enormous acid house bassline. Both new mixes, along with the crowd-pleasing original, make this a must-have single and another tantalizing preview of Kid Sister's debut LP, out soon on Fool's Gold/Downtown.
