The ReMOTE SL COMPACT keyboards are the latest USB MIDI controllers from Novation. These controllers are available in both 25 and 49 key versions and are loaded with super-useful features in a very compact and portable frame. In addition to huge LCD screens, semi-weighted keys with aftertouch, a vast array of controls, and large programmable trigger pads, the SL COMPACT controllers also feature Novation's exclusive Automap Universal technology which takes the pain and hassle out of assigning controls for all your programs and plug-ins.

FEATURES
The ReMOTE SL COMPACT features everything you will need in a USB MIDI Controller and then some. It comes equipped with huge 144 character LCD screens (with the essential data laid out logically right before the user’s eyes), semi-weighted keys with aftertouch, a vast array of controls (8 rotary, 8 buttons, transport controls), 8 large programmable trigger pads, and assignable pitch and mod wheels. The main draw however is the exclusive Automap Universal Technology. Anyone who has ever used a MIDI controller with a VST knows what a hassle it is to assign MIDI parameters to the controller. With the Automap Universal Technology, you get instant and intelligent control over sequencers and plug-ins with little or no user setup. Simply open up a plug-in and watch the parameters appear on the SL's screens. Every plug-in is given a 'learn' mode for easy and instantaneous mapping of controls - simply click the software parameter, then move a hardware control to automatically assign. In addition, open up any major sequencer and the mixer controls, as well as many other session parameters, are instantly mapped to the ReMOTE SL. A single button allows you to switch between controlling different instruments and the mixer, with all names and values displayed clearly across huge 144-character LCD screens. This will save you time and speed up the creative process. In addition, you also get the Xcite + software bundle that includes Ableton Live Lite 6, Novation Bass Station, Waldorf PPC Wave Lite Classic Synth, Arturia Analog Factory SE, and more.

OUR OPINION
As a USB MIDI Controller, the ReMOTE SL COMPACT has all the features even the most demanding of producer's could ask for in a compact package that can easily be taken on the road. Add to this the exclusive Automap Technology that takes the hassle out of assigning MIDI and it's pretty much a no brainer.
