OVERVIEW
Korg's Nano series are the most compact USB-MIDI controllers on the market. These slim line controllers give you versatile control over your programs in the studio, at home, or on the road at a very affordable price. This is the impressive pad version with 12 drum pads, X-Y pad, and chord trigger function.

FEATURES
The nanoPAD is a bus powered USB-MIDI controller featuring 12 excellent feeling, super responsive pads (similar to the padKONTROL) and an X-Y pad with 'roll' and 'flam' modes all in an ultra compact and slim frame about the width of most laptops. The nanoPAD also boasts a unique Chord Trigger function that lets you enter chords onto a single pad, helping you to make the most of the work surface as you create. The pads are also able to transmit control change messages, making this a great interface for soloing or muting mixer tracks, turning objects on and off, or triggering clips during your live performances. With the "KORG KONTROL Editor" (downloadable free of charge from the Korg website) you can customize four scenes that address the pads and X-Y pad can be stored within nanoPAD to suit your control needs. That means you actually have access to 48 notes/chords, 60 MIDI controllers, or any combination of the two types of data at any given time. Also, select one of three velocity curves or a fixed velocity to tailor the nanoPAD to your touch. Use the nanoPAD for versatile control over your production software, virtual instrument/effect or DJ software to trigger samples.

OUR OPINION
If you're looking for an extremely portable USB-MIDI controller at an affordable price, look no further. You cannot get much smaller than the nanoPAD, but despite its small size, it has features that are comparable with much bulkier and higher priced controllers. This model will especially appeal to centric producers that want to be able to bang out drums and sequences on the go. Recommended.
