IN-STORE VALUE ADD: Buy this DVD at either the LA store or NY annex and receive a free full-size theatrical movie poster. (F'reals! Sorry, offer not valid online.) Daft Punk's feature length directorial debut is finally available for home viewing (for those who don't get down with film festivals) and Vice didn't skimp on the presentation. The DVD is housed in a sturdy and interestingly-assembled "SteelBook" case and comes with a 40+ page booklet featuring some ace full-color stills from the film. If you didn't catch the film in theaters or by "other means," Electroma is simply a beautiful film - wordless, well scored (though not by DP) and featuring some totally unforgettable imagery. At times it's like a robot version of Gus Van Sant's Gerry. Mostly you just gotta see it for yourself. Recommended.
