It's good to see that some things never change. Flare is still pumping out those hard electro funk beats that dj's love to use for masochistic 45min skratch sessions trying to reach skratch nirvana like q-bert, and d-styles. This time he's released a dvd so that you don't have to zone out on your mixwell poster but on images of hot girls, psychedelic imagery, and sped up roadtrip footage. pop this in your player, and don't think..... "feeeeeeeel."

QBert: Live In Australia & Asia DVD

Qbert is a little older now, settling into his skin like a jazz master. This is the first Turntable TV since he's gone into hiding in Hawaii, and he's emerged as a more skilled musician. Gone are the "areyouberrytight" jokes as QBert seems to have taken his role as diplomat of scratch even more seriously. And it shows in this video, as Qbert amazes stadiums full of people with that trademark intensity and unbelievable new skills. This documentary follows Q as he introduces his higher level of scratching to cities in Australia and Asia. It reminds of when I was first getting so hyped about this shit, watching those kids go crazy at the shows. Q totes only his QFO (turntable with a mixer built-in), giving this a real guy on a mission feeling. Approximately one hour.
