Numero is just makin' everyone else in the reissue game look foolish now. This is the third release in their new disco 12" reissue series and it's just as crate-worthy as the previous singles from Lord Rhaburn and Sabata. Mister Jay & Michael Dee's "T.S.O.B." is named after the tiny, now-defunct Brooklyn label that originally released the single back in the early 80s, and which influenced the likes of Mike D and other NYC proto-rappers and producers of the time. As raw, funky and somewhat goofy slabs of disco-rap go, it don't get much better than this. Witness the mega cowbell assault, the Sugar Hill flow on lines like "I ripped the 'S' offa Superman's chest!" and more. ("He was flying up in the sky / when I shot him down / I didn't know why!") Flip includes a nice extended instrumental version.
