Yes, folks it's that time of year. Where you can't go outside without hearing Bing Crosby and "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree," everywhere you go. Lucky for you PB Wolfster has hand selected a totally different kind of Christmas album comp for the hip hop-centric. Don't expect a Stones Throw Christmas either, where every artist is doing their rendition of "Little Drummer Boy". There are a couple from Stones Throw here, but for the most part it's a comp of his favorite "Badd" Christmas picks. Everything from old school to Miami bass, some slept on traditional tracks, and surprises. Check James Pants' "This Christmas Girl(1)," Elf Elf and Dok-Im's "My Christmas Bells(2)," "Super Jay's "Santa's Party Rap(3)," Georgia Anne Muldrow's "The Kwaanza Song(4)," 69 Boyz and Quad City DJ's " What You Want For Christmas(5)," The Busy Boys' "Funky Fresh Christmas(6)," and Vince Guaraldi's "Skating(7)." Not only does he provide an alternative to muzak madness, but some a lot of these tracks are rare as hell and would dare you to try to find the originals. So the forget egg nog and crack a 40, it party time cousin. I only wished he put one from Bootsy's Christmas album. Double vinyl.
