R E V I E W
Double A-sider from Mz. Santi White, melting faces and hearts worldwide, collaborating with many (Spank Rock, Ronson, Lily Allen), scooping up all ex-M.I.A. fans in her path. "Creator(1)" is a squelchy heater with some definite Maya vibes - maybe 'cause it's produced by the one and only Switch! (Co-produced by the best-coifed producer in the world, FreQ Nasty.) "L.E.S. Artistes(2)" goes in a rockier midtempo direction; sounds like something she'd write for Gwen Stefani or Ashlee Simpson, but with Santi on the vocals it's way more palatable. Considering these tracks have been "around" for a minute, Downtown coulda tossed us some remixes or at the instrumentals / acapellas, but it's cool to have them on wax anyway. Cool pic sleeve designed by Isabelle Lumpkin.
