For someone with only a handful of white label releases under his belt, Trusme is incredibly hyped. You'll hear descriptions like "prodigy," comparisons to Moodymann, and big words like "recontextualize" when reading about this Manchester native. In record head terms, he takes old soul and funk records, loops em up, adds some drums, etc... but the magic happens in how it comes together. Like Moodymann, he approaches it different: sampling records you don't have, pasting parts that you wouldn't sample, and finessing it over and over until the song is firmly rooted in leftfield. This debut album features five previously unreleased gems(1,2,3); white label favorites "WAR(4)" and "At The Disco(5)"; plus a new version of his biggest hit (thus far) "Nards" entitled "Narda(6)." Bogman likes it.
