Thick domestic vinyl from these London buzzmeisters featuring the 15 minute, originally-created-for-a-fashion show track that folks have been talking about for months, "Navigate, Navigate(1)." So much attention has been paid to these dudes' (and gal's) fashion senses and influences that it's easy to overlook the music itself, which is pretty phenomenal if you're into driving, hypnotic post-rock. Vocal chants are repeated again and again, guitars go in endless circles and the tight drumming seems to fill in any gap left between. On the flip, DFA associate Tim Goldsworthy(2) takes it off the catwalk and into the club, where the original's bassline does the heavy lifting as Mr. Loving Hand drops additional percussion, effects and vocal chops on the top. Plays at 45.
