Osborne Outta Sight (Luke Vibert Remix) 12"
minimal house + techno

the lab review
Spectral back catalog selection from 2007. Osborne (whose recent Ruling EP is one my favorite releases of the year) shows us his bubbling brand of house on "Outta Sight(1)." There's so much stuff going on, yet it never feels cluttered. Love that chopped-up vocal sample too, it works well as a release for the track's energy. For the remix(2), madman Luke Vibert comes in an even bouncier version that's pretty spectacular. Vibert kills the vocal sample (you'll hear what I mean), adds breakbeats, flute, and a general sense of fantasy. So hot. The b-side features the minimal acid track "TNT(3)," a collaboration with James T. Cotton.
