the lab review
Disco, boobs and soccer? I'm with that. This is Sidiku Buari's most sought-after record (gets at least $200 everytime on the 'Bay), and features a unique'79 Ghanaian disco funk sound. It's dope to hear the African influences over a traditional American disco beat (Check "Kinyi Ai Kawali(1)" and "Adesa A(2)"). Plenty of floor scorchers on here for sure, like the bad-ass sex infused "Koko Si(3)," "It's Whats Happening(4)" and "I'm Ready(5)," as well as some interesting soul reggae-disco stuff like "Games We Used To Play(6)." Damn near impossible to find in the field, so gotta get this repress while it's available. Plus that cover is priceless!
