A few selections from Exile's "Radio" full length get the 12"
treatment plus a new remix to boot. If you missed the boat, "Radio" is Exile's experimental album that derives all its samples (sans the beats) from the local LA radio. No joke! Listen carefully and hear little bits and pieces cleverly chopped and arranged on "Stay Tuned (stay here)(1)" with sweet female vocals over the top by Muhsinah. "It's Coming Down(2)" uses the same formula but definitely has more of a heavy head-nod too it, while "Were All In Power(3)" gets on with a chugging slump. Another highlight here is the dirty lo- fi remix(3) by Shafiq of Sa-Ra. Sick.
