Maybe I've been getting into Ego Trip's White Rapper Show (Ghetto Revival!), but I had to give a shot to this indy release from new act Long Dist. and downtempo specialists Concent Recordings. Long Dist. is composed of Brooklyn producer Marihoto and Oakland emcee R. They produce a clean, smooth rendition of the indy sound that's not annoying, which makes it better than 90 percent of the indy stuff out there. It's definitely got some throwback indy appeal, full of jazzy beats and precise lyrics. 5 tracks in all.
