Two early NWA tracks here, bridging the gap between the electro World Class Wreckin Cru days and their more famous Straight Outta Compton angles. A-side "Panic Zone(1)" is straight electro, featuring the Arabian Prince on the mic over Dr Dre production, while...   expand review  "Dope Man(2)" is arguably the cut that changed the West Coast game. "Funky Worm" sample, hard drums, and Ice Cube's groundbreaking lyrics. -the mgmnt

These dudes are so corny it's the shit. I don't know if it was cool then and just hasn't aged gracefully or what (I was like -1 years old when this came out), but good god man this shit is a fucking...   expand review  cornpone meeting straight out of Lil Abner. Guys, "Mission Possible" is an electro song with the synth line from "Mission Impossible" played over it. "He's Bionic" features bad raps about a guy who is half-robot and an Egyptian Lover bite. "House Calls" has that awesome spaceship taking off bass sound and Dr. Dre telling you he's "not an average gigolo." This shit is so completely 80s it's incredible. Cheese factor aside, these songs used in the right context will blow shit up. Throw them into your party classics sets with old Bootsy and "Every Way But Loose" and people will definitely feel it. I am probably herbing myself out right now because these tracks are what cholos ride to and shit, but man I am not from LA, what can I say. -Bob Bannister
