I was just last night listening to Sebastien Tellier's "La Ritournelle" and wondering when he was gonna drop some new stuff. (Was also wondering how many times I can listen to "La Ritournelle" before I get sick of it; I believe the answer is ten billion.) Well, happy Halloween to me, 'cause here's his new single, and it comes produced by Daft Punk's Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo with a B-side remix from Ed Banger's SebastiAn. "Sexual Sportswear(1)" isn't anything like the epic, string-drenched "Ritournelle;" instead, it's an 8-minute electronic workout with swirling effects and spiraling synths not unlike Kavinsky's recent tracks. Tellier's similarly-named homie (and collaborator on that cool Steak OST) takes a stab at the remix(2), and it sounds like another Ed Banger, uh, banger to me. Can't wait for a full album from this guy... Recommended.
