Hear CSS as you've never heard them before (mellow!) on their version of... expand review "Knife(1)," and fellow Sub Pop-ers Band of Horses with some wild harmonies and plenty of banjo on "Plans(2)." (The Grizzlies take cover themselves, tackling oldie classic "He Hit Me(3).") Also feeling the epic and glacial choral version of "Alligator(4)" and Daniel Rossen's multi-tracked home recording of "Deep Blue Sea(5)." It's also been the subject of many a message board post, as DJs have... expand review been waiting literally years for this one to drop. The release also marks the return of Classic, one of the absolute best and most respected house labels in the world. The original version(1) of the track by Tari Litz and Marko Militano features super bouncy bass, slick and crisp beats, and playful little sounds running underneath the super sexy/dirty vocals. Lil Mark's "Dirty Bum Sex Mix(2)" has more of a minimal techy feel to it, with even more strange and playful sounds than the original. Next up, Mr. Derrick Carter's "One Man / One Army Dub(3)" is instantly recognizable as a DC track, with Derrick's signature boompty beats and perfect little bleeps and blips that work a big sound system out.
