Finally, Ultimate Breaks & Beats the way they were supposed to be. You may already have some of the vinyl compilations, CDs, or even the MP3-loaded DVD, but never have I seen them like in this 45 box set. All the 45s are repressed with strict attention to the details of the original labels and spindle art, and you'll never find copies this clean for the price. Of course you know the funk and hip hop sample standards like the Mohawks' "Champ(1)," Banbarra's "Shack Up(2)" and All The Peoples' "Cramp Your Style(3)," but to see them on their original labels with the original B-sides is just amazing. I'm so used to the UBB artwork I woulda never thought to look for labels like Pama Records, Coyote Productions and Blue Candle. It really puts into context where these monster tracks came from. Also check the famous bike horn break on Brother Soul's "Cookies(4)," the froggy wah guitar break on Dynamic Corvettes' "Funky Music Is The Thing Pts.1&2(5)" and the swooning soul vocals on Melvin Bliss' "Synthetic Substitution(6)." A must have for any funk 45 collector, 'cause in their original large hole format, these labels shine like jewels. Recommended.
