How cool is this?! The SX-150 is a fully functional analog synth that you put together yourself (no soldering required) and produces freaky synth action controlled via stylus pen. Um...dope! Control the LFO rate, the pitch, attack, decay, cutoff, all with a built-in speaker, a line out, and even an external source in. A no brainer, especially with the rise in popularity (and price) of vintage synths these days. Runs off 4 AA batteries. Recommended.

*The synth also comes with Gakken's Otona no Kagaku Magazine, an issue fully dedicated to the history of analog synthesizers (125 full color pages, all in Japanese).
