There's a handful of people in the office who geek out whenever the latest Numero Disco 12" comes in, and I've quickly become one of them. This is the coolest reissue series in a long time - every track is impossibly rare but totally playable and the sound is always pristine. And those sleeves! Coming from the archives of the Bronx's Tap label, Fabulous 3 MCs' "Rub A Dub Dub(1)" keeps the quality alive. Even if the 3 (unknown) MCs are your prototypical disco-rappers talkin' bathtubs, A-to-Z&'s and stere-ere-ohs, their enthusiasm meshes well with the beat, which is crammed with infectious synths, keyboards and whistles. And if the vocal version doesn't do it for you, the extended instrumental(2) on the flip is a killer! If you liked the Master Jay & Michael Dee 12" last month, you need this one. Plays at 45.
