Can't we just run the "separated at birth" pic of Lab honcho Jasper next to Kieren "Four Tet" Hebden instead of a review? Pretty please? They're haircut bros! Anyhow, "Sun Drums & Soil(1)" is the second single off the (critically acclaimed and whatnot) latest Four Tet record, rocking some superspeed drumbreaks that almost touch down in b-boy territory before the ARPs come in to weird it all out (in a good way, of course). There's also a SA-RA remix(2) that might as well be a completely new song, turning the original into a house-y broken beat number that's tailor made for a Negroclash jam somewhere. Also includes the sweet percussion-only "Sun, Drums & Gamelan(3)" version, the title of which pretty much says it all.
