An interesting selection of reggae-tinged beats and loops. Starting with some soundclash-style movie dialogue, the record moves into 10 well conceived loops, most with slight variations to keep things interesting. Sources range from Grace Jones' "My Jamaican Guy" and "Nightclubbing" to the Police's "Shadows In the Rain&" (good choice), U Roy's "Tom Drunk" (aka that Reflection Eternal joint), the hip hop instrumental for "Dolly My Baby," the Sleng Teng riddim and others. A long scratch sentence drawn from a variety of Jamaican mic men (Jr. Reid to Sean Paul) rounds out the package.
