Wow, Hudson Mohawke has been putting in the work for this one. From the opening moments, this album literally bursts with new styles. Graduating from the post-Dilla beats school, Mohawke has created his own class, putting together fusion, new age, early 2000 jiggy, and really strong artificially flavored candy. This shit is so future with its science fiction references and strong halcyon sheen. It reminds me of those alternative dimension books (Prometheus Rising and lucid dreaming!) I used to read in college. I thought the cover art was really odd, but it all makes sense when you take a listen. 18 tracks in all, recommended.
