Lab Overview

Stunning debut single from The Flying Stars Of Brooklyn, NY. On first listen, you may mistake "My God Has A Telephone" for some vintage 7" of the super-rare-only-heard-it-on-a-Numero-comp variety - but believe it or not, it is actually contemporary recording. The Flying Stars Of Brooklyn, NY is the brainchild of Aaron Frazer, drummer and sometimes vocalist of Durand Jones & The Indicators, who does the gospel soul thing beautifully. Frazer's incredible falsetto voice fits the style perfectly, taking center stage on a nostalgic, uplifting groove. "Live On" keeps the feeling going, with a tough drum intro that bursts into more soul-soothing sounds. Shout out Tony for putting us on. Recommended.
