"That night in 1972, the funk gods must have landed in the small Indianapolis club "19th Hall Nightclub." It's been 50 years since the miracle live. Finally, 'In The Rain' is released as 50th Anniversary Edition at 45RPM. The dramatics cover 'In The Rain', with its crying vibraphone, distorted organ, and machine-like intense beats, is unmatched in a series of 70's funk reassessments since HIP HOP! In the past, that Madlib was also boldly used in his own work, and it is a masterpiece of a living thing that has no sampling-like discarding points no matter where it is cut. Especially, the excitement after the middle stage and the repeating phrases in the latter half are insanely dangerous! If rare groove is a movement that rediscovers old music and brings it back to life as a modern sound, this is a miracle song that would have reached its peak, 50 years earlier in musicality! The coupling is 'Day Dreaming', a masterpiece of soul queen Aretha Franklin. Utten's vibraphone explodes on a fast-paced track! This work adds 45 rotations with special edits!
