LAB REVIEW

Arturia's Keystep Pro inherits the best elements of the popular Keystep with a slew of advanced editing options and connectivity upgrades. The 37 slimkey keybed (expanded from the Keystep's 32) is upgraded with LED above each key for visual feedback. The step sequencer is is spread across 4 tracks with 64 steps and 16 note polyphone (upgraded from the Keystep's 8) and advanced editing of individual steps, patterns, scenes and chains. There are 4 outputs for connecting to your vintage gear via CV/Gate/Mod and 8 individual drum gate outputs. In addition, the Keystep Pro also boasts an onboard 7 mode arpeggiator, chord mode play (play a chord and reproduce it across the keybed), sustain hold and pedal input, pitch + mod wheels, and more. The Keystep Pro is one of the most versatile controllers for use in combined hardware + software studio applications we've seen.
