Lab Overview

Sophomore studio album from Cincinnati's The National. Sad Songs For Dirty Lovers was originally released in 2003 and added layers of orchestration to the band's country tinged indie vibes. Frontman Matt Berninger tells tales of illicit encounters and forbidden affairs while the addition of multi-instrumentalist Bryce Dessner fleshed out the band's sound. Includes the songs: "Lucky You," "90-Mile Water Wall," and "Cardinal Song." Twelve tracks in all. 2021 remastered pressing released by 4AD.
