That's right, fuck \u003cem\u003ePaul's Boutique\u003c\/em\u003e and Wesleyan College. The Beasties live the American dream here, picking up instruments and playing skater thrash band, badass black funk-rock band, and crafty city rappers, all at the same time. I'm not quite sure there's anything else quite like it. Even though I've gotten tired of the aging cult of Beastie, I still put this on when I want to get hyped up for heated recreational sports sessions (that's right chall!). Then come \"Power,\" \"All Of The Lights,\" \"Devil In A New Dress,\"\"Monster,\" and \"Runaway ,\" which underscore (again) Kanye's mastery of composing songs that don't sacrifice quality for mass appeal. As you might have read elsewhere,  \u003cem\u003eMy Beautiful...\u003c\/em\u003e is one of 2010's strongest, something that you'll find yourself going back to year after year.  This is the limited-edition, 3-record version featuring 180g pressing, frame-able artwork, and a poster, with fancy tri-fold, red x gold packaging (art direction by Kanye himself). So powerful, B-Real scored Electra. I think the beats on here are some of the most napped-on (rugged slang) from the golden era. \"Pigs\", \"How I Could Just Kill a Man\", \"Hand on the Pump\", \"Real Estate\", \"Stoned Is the Way of the Walk\"... When we get older, this shit will be like the White Album was to our parents. Warp has done a great service to all those BOC fans that missed out on the vinyl when it initially came out in offering this reissue. However creative the group was musically they were just as earnest and determined with the songs' subject matter. Adebimpe tackled issues like race and the more subtle politics of relationships, along with anti war themes in the wake of the 9\/11 terrorist attacks.
