Lab Overview

Shredded rare groove from IDM elder statesman Luke Vibert! On Turn, Vibert squeezes a whole lot of style into a single 7-inch plate: Herbie arp bassline, ‘Sing Sing’ break, Hollywood french horns, ‘Long Red,’ and that’s just the first tune! From there, the only way to go is up, and the remaining three tracks recall Vibert’s vintage forays into the frenetic sounds of his Plug and Wagon Christ projects, spanning glitch / IDM (“JJP”), broken beat, sampledelica (“BM”) and jungle (“Juice”). Released by DJ Warp’s recently-reactivated People Of Rhythm imprint (inactive since 1999!) on maroon colored vinyl housed, limited to 1000 copies.
